SPECIAL ASSEMBLY FOR REVEREND RINGER, OUR CHAIR OF GOVERNORSThe children read out special messages to say how much they appreciated having the Reverend in their lives. He has been a very important part of our school and remains our Chair of Governors until the summer but leaves his post as Parish Priest this Easter.
He wil be retiring to his new home in Bridport.
"Reverend Ringer is always there for us, so we all want to say a HUGE THANK YOU and hope you have a lovely time in your new home. Come back and visit us soon".

SCULPTURE DAY FOR YEAR 6Year 6 had a really super day carving plaster fish sculptures, including our school logo, with Jeff Body a sculptor from Shepton Mallett.The day was sponsored by our local NADFAS, 'The National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies', group which is much appreciated. |  |

World Cup Football Tournament - Weymouth - June 2006A squad of 11 children from Class 4 took part in a World Cup Football Tournament in Weymnouth. We represented the Ivory Coast and played in the national colours. We didn't win, but we had a fantastic day!! |  |
SCIENCE NETWORK CHALLENGESix children from Year 4 went to Sherborne Abbey primary school on Wednesday June 21st to take part iin a science challenge day. There were children from both Sherborne schools, William Barnes, Stalbridge and ourselves. They had to make buggies powered by wind, elastic or balloons. Click to see all the pictures. |  |
'Drumming' assembly June 2006We enjoyed an assembly lead by the percussion teacher and his keen students! The children who receive drumming lessons performed superbly to the rest of the school |  |
Sherborne Schools Recorder workshop - 27th April 2006.24 children from Years 3,4 and 5 went to the Sherborne Abbey School. We played a piece by Mozart with recorder players from schools in the local area - it was great fun and sounded fantastic! Mozart would have been extremely proud of us! |  |

| We enjoyed listening to a recorder consort perform. We learnt about the many different recorders in the recorder family. We particularly liked the sound of the contra bass recorder. |  |
Sponsored Skip March 2006The whole school took part in a sponsored skip in March. We raised enough money to buy a new kiln. The children had to skip or participate in skipping activities for 30 minutes. It was tiring - but great fun! |  |
Arts' Week Summer 2005This term we spent an exciting week developing our skills in a variety of art forms. We had visits from potters, artists and musicicans. We looked at art from around the world and produced lots of interesting pieces of work. |  |
