Welcome back
Welcome back to school after the summer holidays. A special welcome to all our new children who have joined our St Andrew's family, the 19 new children who have moved into the Acorn Reception class and also to the 6 who have joined us in other classes. We look forward to a happy and successful year for all in our school and local community.
The list of dates and events for the year are below.
Music tuition
We have a wide range of music tuition available in school, including keyboard, piano, guitar, accordion and mandolin. If you are interested in your child learning one of these instruments please ask Sandra for further details at the office. For any instruments not on the list that you are keen on, please ask us and we will attempt to secure a teacher.
School start time
With the new term we have new travel arrangements. As a result, may I remind everyone that doors open at 8.30 am for an 8.45am start. Breakfast club is available from 7.30am at £3.50 (w. breakfast) / £3.00 (w/o breakfast). No booking is required. If you only require a shorter time, please contact school and we will try to arrive at a flexible arrangement.
Library Summer Reading Challenge
Many children have been taking part in the Summer Reading Challenge at libraries across Dorset. They still have time to finish the challenge, up to September 10th, so they can pop in to their local library to let staff know about the last books they have read. All those who complete the challenge will receive a certificate in school.
School Uniform
Tesco are the primary suppliers for our school uniform at present. They are attempting to source royal blue t-shirts and we will let you know as soon as we have news.
