7th July 2009
Dear Parents,
Class Organisation for September 2009.
I am pleased to inform you about classes for September 2009.
Current imbalance in numbers across our Year groups necessitates the continued mixing of age groups, but wherever this occurs the school is committed to a strong focus on individual development and progress. Our 'mixed age' classes are designed to reduce class size and promote on-going personal development of all pupils.
Our organisational structure for September 2009 is as follows:
Mrs Payne Reception (24 pupils) supported by Mrs Hardy
Mrs Locke Year 1 and 2 (27 pupils) supported by Mrs Gallimore, Mrs Hole, Mrs Blakey and Mrs Hardy (pm autumn term only)
Mrs Berry/Mrs Pitcher Year 2 and 3 (27 pupils) supported by Mrs Hassell
Mr Higson-Guy Year 3 and 4 (19 pupils) supported by Mrs Neal
Mrs Katrina Halford Year 5 (24 pupils) supported by Mrs Neal
Miss Stacey Coysh Year 6 (30 pupils) supported by Mrs Pepper
Pupils on roll: 151
As you will note our roll has begun to rise and we expect new pupils to enter in the coming terms. Allied to the success of our Pre School in growing our numbers entering Reception, prospective new entrants to St Andrew's can help to move us back towards a seventh class.
All the children will be meeting next year's teacher on Friday 10th July.
Please be assured of our continued concern for the progress and well being of your child and we look forward to meeting you early in the new term to share our plans for the coming year.
Annual Reports
Your child's annual report will be available on Tuesday 14th July.
Thank you for collecting vouchers
We are pleased to say that we have collected in access of sixteen thousand Tesco vouchers which will entitle us to a whole host of equipment including a eco suggestion box, eco council badges, birdhouse pack gardening equipment and a battery charger to name but a few. The Sainsbury vouchers collected have enabled us to order Foundation stage equipment, playground equipment, netballs and footballs.
