Dear Parents / Carers,

As you may know, the majority of public sector workers' unions, including teachers', support and administration staff, will be carrying out industrial action on Wednesday 30th November as a protest against the Government's changes to pensions.

As a result, St Andrew's CofE Primary School, in common with many other Dorset schools, has made the decision to close on Wednesday, November 30th. This decision has been arrived at following the directive that neither staff nor supply teachers can cover absent colleagues. We will close as we will not have the staff available to ensure that health and safety procedures can be followed.
You will, of course, be kept informed as soon as more information is received.
