MAKING VOKI WITH CLASS 6We have been making our own virtual image to say what is great about our school, St Andrew's Primary.
What is Voki?
Voki enables users to express themselves on the web in their own voice using a talking character. You can customize your Voki to look like you or take on the identity of lots of other types of characters
animals, monsters, animations etc. Your Voki can speak with your own voice which is added via microphone, upload, or phone.
What's with the name?
Voki is a combination of "vox", which is Latin for voice, and "Loki", which, is a prankster character in Norse Mythology.

Check this website out for all the facts you could possibly want to know (and those you don't) about biscuits.

"THE FIELD" of St Andrew'sOur "Field" comprises approximately 200
terracotta figures made by every child in Key Stage 2, Years 3 - 6, 7 - 11 year olds. The work is based on "The Field of the Bristish Isles" created by the English sculptor Anthony Gormley who won the Turner prize with his 40,000 figures in 1994.
We will be exhibiting them at the RAISE Exhibition in Sherborne House the week beginning March 5th for a week.
The whole "sculpture" is called the field because from a distance the differing heights of the figures look like the metachronal rhythm of grass moving in a field. | |
