 Class 4 made a start on the mosaic doing .. |
 ..a leopard, ostich.. |
 ..and hippo. |
 I am glad I've got small fingers/ |
 Class 5 had the challenge of making the shield, .. |
 ..and the drum, which did look a bit like .. |
 ..a burger.. |
 ..but it had some lovely colours in it.. |
 ..and was fun to make |
 The shield had some exotic tiles - |
 small and large millefiori.. |
 ..with a spine of real gold on glass. |
 There the last tile in the drum. |
 Class 1 did the lion which had some gorgeous hot colours in it.. |
 ..reds, oranges, yellows.. |
 ..shall I put this bit here or here? |
 We placed the tiles onto the sticky side.. |
 ..of sticky back plastic placed on the design. |
 Class 6 had the African lady and her baby to do.. |
 ..and used special black glass nuggets, upsidedown.. |
 ..because we are using the indirect method. |
 They also did the roof of hut.. |
 ..which was surprisingly difficult. |
 All the animals 9and human) will be flipped onto a board. |
 The lion will have a black ceramic nose |
 The finished drum ( not a double decker sandwich). |
 The gold line shows blue on this side. |
 Our lady has a Kenti patterned dress and a red scarf to carry her baby in. |
 Reception made this excellent zebra which will have a clay fringe, ears, nose and tail. |
 The Hut roof has a mask hanging on it.. |
 ..which looks great. |
 Class 4's leopard has brown glas beads for his spots. |
 Class 1 had the giraffe to make using beige, brown and orange glass nuggets.. |
 ..which add a differnt texture. |
