CLASS 3 & 4'S VISIT TO A HINDU TEMPLE |

 When we arrived Panditji told us stories about Hindu gods.  We were shown a mini hindu temple...  ..and saw decorations for the...  nine night festival.  We dressed up in special clothes..  ..so that we could learn to dance..  ..some were simple clothes (Sam is saying "Namasta")..  ..whilst others were covered in gold decorations  ..and were made of silk  We then tucked into a scrumptious feast, which was delicious..  ..Hindus have a vegetarian diet..  ..and we tried little bits of everything..  ..until we were full up to the brim.  After lunch the adults had a lesson on how to put on Saris..  ..the fabrics were very beautiful..  Don't they look lovely!  Later the adults got to have a Stick Dance Challenge..  ..we had a go too..  ..and it got faster and faster..  ..but we had a great time...  ..and we enjoyed wearing the clothes.  Thank you for letting us visit..  ..we learnt lots of things.
