We have been investigating .. |
 ..how plants grow healthily. |
We planted beanlets in pairs ... |
 ... in 12 pots. |
We had to be vey careful.. |
..not to damage the young plants. |
We left the plants for over a week.. |
..this was the control - water, warmth, light, air and space. |
Over watering caused the beanlets to go mouldy.. |
..they didn't grow in the fridge.. |
..or if they had no water. |
Plants kept in the dark grew wiggly and their leaves were yellow.. |
..as you can see from this one. |
Overcrowding was ok at thebeginning. |
 Our left over beanlets.. |
 ..and we grew peanuts.. |
 ..and poppy seeds. |
We also investigated what happened.. |
..to grass if you cover it up.. |
..with stones which we laid.. |
 ..in the shape of a .. |
..smiling cat with a bow tie... |
..which we left for over a week.. |
..to see what would happen. |
This was Ash classes seed collecting experiment. |
We also looked at the different .. |
 ..plants growing in.. |
 ..our conservation area.. |
..and saw all the things we are.. |
 ..wildlife... |
 We collected .. |
 ..different leaves.. |
..looking at the different .. |
 ..shapes, .. |
 ..colours.. |
 ..and sizes. |
We took away the stones .. |
..and we were left with.. |
..the faint outline of our cat. |
You can see the grass has gone yellow.. |
..compared with the healthy grass. |
