Our netball and football teams We have started having matches with other local school ... watch this space
Tag Rugby at the Gryphon Tag Rugby November 2011 Yr 5 and 6 took part in a fantastic tag rugby tournament today and played brilliantly. Despite the downpours and muddy conditions we managed to play with superb enthusiasm and skill. The semi-finals were called off and teams went straight to finals based on a points system (we narrowly missed out). Man of the match has to go to Robert in Y5 and Ethan in Y6 for sheer determination, speed and team spirit. A special mention to Angus and Callum who played for both teams and ran (lots of times) from one pitch to the other! You both showed great endurance and helped out both teams who were each one short! All of the players really did well and did the School proud. Here are our results of each game: Y5 team 4-3 to Thornford 7-1 to Yetminster (V Bishops Caundle) 4-3 to Yetminster (V Abbey School) Yr 5/6 team 3-2 to Yetminster (v Abbey School) 6-1 to Yetminster (V Thornford) 3-3 draw (V Bishop Caundle)
Tag rugby We are being coached to play tag rugby with Mr Trew from Sherborne rugby club - it is great fun
SPORTS DAY 2011 We had a brilliant fun sports day which was enjoyed by absolutely everyone. We had egg & soon races, sack races as well as relay sprint. Blue team won with a slight margin in KS2. A great day was had by all. Photos by Anna Taylor
Our children compete in the Sherborne Area Athletics meeting We had a very successful Athletics meeting this week with children from year 4 upwards competing in a variety of activities. Our relay team Rebecca, Alice, Carl and Lewis, came second out of 8 teams and we had lots of children going onto the Dorset athletics meeting in a month's time. Click on Callum to see the slideshow. Our winning team Summer 2010 We successfully won the football tournament this year.
Chestnut Class having fun using the gym equipment We have been spending time exploring all the gym equipment, which is really good fun
Badminton, orienteering & Sherborne tag rugby Our two teams competed hard at the Sherborne tag rugby tournament. We have also had a busy time at the Bisi festival at the Gryphon and Chestnut class were great at orienteering also at the Gryphon.
Team Theme Awards 2009 We were honoured by the a visit from the TEAM THEME lads who gave out our medals for last terms matches. Click on the boys and you can see all of the winning teams and players.
GIRLS' FOOTBALL Our team played a tournament at the terraces. We played 6 games and Alice, the captain, scored their only goal.
BOYS' FOOTBALL We are justly proud of our footballers. Have a look at all our teams and their achievements.
CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING Our school was well represented at a local Cross country meeting.
