AFRICAN ARTS WEEK - Monday Magic drums |

 Our AFRICAN ART week was launched by ..  ..Class 5 playing the djembes and dancing.  We the had the "Magic Drums" with..  ..us all day teaching us how..  ..to play allsorts of African drums.  Each class took it in turns..  ..to learn the "call and response" and..  ..differnt African rhthyms..  ..which we all greatly enjoyed.  We all sat in a huge circle..  ..and had a drum or a percussion..  ..instrument to play, and we all had a chance..  ..to make up our own rhthym.  We used a large ball to help know when to drum..  ..each time the ball hot the floor..  ..we let rip.  We then introduced..  ..a third instrument, the bells..  ..as well as swaying sideways to the beat.  We could then use the hoops to sya which instrument should be played.
