St. Andrew's C.E. V.C. Primary School
7th September 2006
Dear Parents,
A warm welcome back to the new school year. The children now seem to have settled well into new classes and we are particularly pleased to see our newest children in the Reception and other classes.
Work over summer has just about been completed on time for the start of term. Those of you who have been in the school will have seen new flooring through out the hallway, dining area and main hall and infant classrooms and toilets. We are looking forward to the decorators coming in over half term.
'Early Arrivers'
The Early Arrivers scheme has now started.
Pupils may arrive at school no earlier than 7.45 a.m.
Pupils arriving between 7.45 and 8.15 am will enter the school through the main school entrance and go directly to the Hall to be greeted by supervisory staff. Parents or guardians must accompany them into school and hand them directly into the care of 'Early Arrivers' staff' who will register them.
There will be a breakfast option available at a small additional charge.
Pupils will remain under the supervision of 'Early Arrivers' staff' and will be offered a range of indoor activities including the use of the library. (Pleases note that no computer facilities will be available at this time!)
At 8.15 am all pupils will take their belongings to the cloakrooms and join other pupils arriving on the buses. (Please note that pupils, other than those on buses, should not be arriving before 8.30 am!)
A charge of £1.50 will be levied for each pupil arriving at any time between 7.45 and 8.15 am. Should your child require breakfast of cereal, toast and fruit juice the inclusive daily cost will be £2.00.
Parents will be billed on a fortnightly basis.
