A number of interesting issues were raised
The need for further feedback on specific school programmes to support individuals and groups of children
Transfer procedures between classes
The development of a wider range of extra curricular activities for the younger children
Homework - several wanted more but some wanted less!
Supervision of children in the playground
Provision of hot meals
Year round swimming provision
Continued improvement of school facilities
All the above will be discussed thoroughly with governors and staff before I outline to you our plans for the future.
The outcomes of this consultation indicate to me that whilst there is a significant degree of parental confidence in the work of the school, we should be seeking to continually improve the following:
o The ways in which we communicate our working practices to the parents
o The way our school looks and feels
o The means by which we share pupil information with parents
I do hope that you feel that the recent pupil and parent questionnaires have provided you with both an interesting perspective of the children's view of their school and an opportunity to add yours. I hope, also, that you are pleased with the outcomes.
As the Head, I am very encouraged by the positive responses and will, along with governors and staff, continue to build upon the strengths of the school whilst giving the very highest priority to individual concerns.
Thank you
Stephen Williams
Head teacher on behalf of St Andrew's Primary School
