CLASS 3 & 4'S VISIT TO A HINDU TEMPLE |
) When we arrived Panditji told us stories about Hindu gods. |
) We were shown a mini hindu temple... |
) ..and saw decorations for the... |
) nine night festival. |
) We dressed up in special clothes.. |
) ..so that we could learn to dance.. |
) ..some were simple clothes (Sam is saying "Namasta").. |
) ..whilst others were covered in gold decorations |
) ..and were made of silk |
) We then tucked into a scrumptious feast, which was delicious.. |
) ..Hindus have a vegetarian diet.. |
) ..and we tried little bits of everything.. |
) ..until we were full up to the brim. |
) After lunch the adults had a lesson on how to put on Saris.. |
) ..the fabrics were very beautiful.. |
) Don't they look lovely! |
) Later the adults got to have a Stick Dance Challenge.. |
) ..we had a go too.. |
) ..and it got faster and faster.. |
) ..but we had a great time... |
) ..and we enjoyed wearing the clothes. |
) Thank you for letting us visit.. |
